Ivor Karabatkovic now great Nashville Photographer

Ivor Karabatkovic is not only a great photographer but also has a keen perception of community and society as a whole. He is now based in Nashville, Tennessee coming from Lakewood Ohio, His mother is Serbian and his father is Croatian. The family had to flee Doboi Crotia with nothing but only two suitcases to Germany during the wars in the Balkans. Later, they settled in Lakewood (Cleveland) Ohio. Here he grew into a photographer for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and SPIN Magazine. ( I had a wonderful conversation with him a year or so ago and was impressed with his knowledge about world events.)

Some of Ivor's favorite assignments include photographing the President of the United States 11 times, shooting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame + Museum's advertising campaign for 2011, and telling stories through his work. He moved to Nashville in November of 2011 to pursue tour photography/video and freelance work with musicians.

"My purpose in life is to create images and tell stories that move and inspire- but mainly, I strive to give back the love and help my family has received from kind people across the globe, and to inspire others to create, give back, be kind and be present and aware in life and the beauty we are surrounded by every second of the day." Ivor said. "My camera has lead me to many great individuals; I see beauty in every nook and corner of daily life. I feel it is my duty to bring forth this beauty, and use my talent to make viewers feel and analyze the moments in my photographs and in their lives, as well."
