American Dream Is Burning Top Newspaper Story

November 15th, 2012 - Cleveland, OH

Ray Tapajna, editor and artist at Tapsearch Com and Tapart News, online since 1998, mixes news and issues with his Art that Talks. He now has thousands of resources and references online. His American Dream is Burning which was the first artwork in his Art that Talks series is symbolic of the most massive dislocation of jobs and businesses in U.S. history including the Great Depression. Millions lost their jobs and businesses due to free trade and globalization. The value of workers and labor has been degraded and deflated with a new working poor class and a vast underclass living in a silent depression. Only about 38 percent of all workers qualify for unemployment insurance which means more than 60 million workers are in an economic limbo missing in action.

The Space Available Sign on the burning factory in Ray's artwork, has the White House phone number on it. This artwork was first published in 2000, and sadly, it still applies today. Free trade failed from the start. President Clinton had to rush billions of dollars to Mexico to save the peso and the Mexican economy even though, more than 4,000 U.S. factories had been moved to Mexico. The first bail out went to a foreign nation and was a sign of things to come. President Bush II, hid the economic disaster from American with his "shock and awe" wars. President Obama followed and bailed out big money, ( the so called 1 percent ), the investment communities, banks and large corporations while ignoring the suffering of all who lost their jobs and businesses due to free trade. He put those responsible for the economic crisis back in charge of the failed system.

Ray's main news and issues sites are at www.tapsearch.com/tapartnews www.tapsearch.com/communications-by-rank ( about workers having no voice in the process of free trade and globalization ) , www.tapsearch.com/flatworld and at www.therationale.com , Ray explores the latent response of religion and philosophy to the global economic arena. Ray invites all to visit his sites and pass them on.
