This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks

The phrase "Traduttore, Traditore" is an old Italian proverb; "The Translator is a Traitor". It describes the loss of trust between a translator and not just the one side, but also between the translator and his/her own people.
About Canis Canon
Canis Canon makes art - and other cool stuff - in West Texas. He sings, but he don't dance or jump. He tells true stories, fables, parables and lies - sometimes all at once. He once rode a trolley car to the gates of Hell, but jumped ship before his ticket got punched. Canis never met a man he didn't like, but he's met a lot of overgrown boys he can't abide. Thanks Nina! I met a woman some time ago who saw this piece in the pencil stage. Her parents had been former diplomats and translators. She told me this was the best depiction of the translation process she'd ever seen - which made me feel pretty cool :)
